Our Story

Destiny Helpers Outreach Inc. is a 501(c)(3) organization based in Brooklyn, NY that envisions itself as a beacon for positive change and transformation.

After learning about the alarmingly high rates of teenage pregnancy, gang involvement and homelessness across communities in New York City the need for a new type of leadership and meaningful youth and family programs were apparent. In 2019, while living in a homeless shelter TrudyAnn Williams founded Destiny Helpers Outreach Inc. on April 24th, 2024.

Destiny Helpers Outreach Inc. strives to become the principal Not-For-Profit Community Based Organization providing meaningful youth and family programs that produces positive change and transformation in the lives and communities we serve.

Meet our team

TrudyAnn Williams, Executive Director

Founder and chief visionary, Trudy is the driving force behind the organization. She is a devoted mother and an advocate for at risk youth and families living in underserved communities. TrudyAnn has set out on a mission to change lives...one individual, one community at a time. She believes in creating and sustaining model communities that are safe for individuals to live, work and raise families. She walks by faith, leads with integrity and stays in her commitment to improve the lives of many.

Kimesha Malcolm, CFO

Kimesha has over 9 years of accounting experience which she uses to ensure our financial documents are filed in a timely manner. Kimesha loves serving and never misses an opportunity to volunteer, donate and share in making someone else's life better.

Fay Simon-Blugh, Secretary

Fay is an expert at research and documenting! She is an empath who has worked extensively with people with disabilities. Fay is one of our most dependable team members. She is always ready to hit the ground running. Her attention to detail is superb and her unwavering commitment to our events is commendable.

Destiny Helpers Outreach Inc. is a fantastic and necessary organization, especially in these times. I have personally witnessed this organization in action when I was asked to be a judge at one of their events called “The Miss Teen Brownsville Pageant”. What I thought was just a task, turned out to be so much more fulfilling. I was able to interact with some amazing young ladies of different culture and of course different personalities, young women who were extremely knowledgeable, informed and passionate about their community and what it could be despite the stigma surrounding Brownsville and East New York. Thanks to Destiny Helpers Outreach Inc., these young ladies not only were given a platform to display themselves but also to display the human assets within their community. Similarly, the organization is giving others hope for the community and themselves by giving back and assisting individuals with a financial start to a bright future. I cannot wait to see what the future holds for this organization!

Destiny Helpers Outreach Inc. is a great organization that is dedicated to helping young people in impoverished communities. I have seen first hand the things that they do for the youth and I am impressed. I see this organization going a far way. I've had the honor of sponsoring the very 1st Miss Teen Brownsville Pageant by providing cupcakes for the contestants. The love I received was different from the normal business transactions I conduct with others. It was overwhelmingly warm and unforgettable. I can truly say that I will be sure to attend every event Destiny Helpers Outreach Inc host because it's such a great feeling to be able to give back and help others.

• Deriann’s Gift Shop

In 2019, I attended the Miss Teen Brownsville Pageant hosted by Destiny Helpers Outreach Inc. for the first time and I was moved. My only intent was to drop off my friend at the event and continue about my planned activities. However, I decided to sit down for five minutes...I did not move until the show ended. It was orchestrated in such a professional manner, and to see the contestants having fun while supporting each other was beautiful. Some of them realized they had talents they never imagined showing the world and thanks to Destiny Helpers Outreach Inc. they were given a platform to do so. I was blown away by the organization’s commitment to higher education when they presented one of the young ladies with a scholarship to assist with college expenses.
